HomeSchool Program

Ready, Set, Kids offers a play-based and social-based program for homeschool children ages 5-10, with options for enriching activities. The program runs on a September-June schedule, three days per week, and registration will open in June.

Inside our classroom space, facilitators present a variety of materials and activities for kids to explore around the classroom like "centers" or zones for open-ended and child-directed play. Facilitators take stock of the group’s interests and design well-rounded options for them to choose from. Facilitators are present to support them with projects, games, and social or emotional challenges. The facilitator will run a daily group meet-up, following our social-emotional curriculum, where we lead them in discussion and playful activities to talk about problem solving, connection with other children, empathy, and & inclusion.

Homeschool club goes outdoors daily to Spy Pond Field, Spy Pond Playground, Parallel Park, and other green spaces in/around Arlington Center. The group also takes regular trips to the Robbins library, and occasionally takes walking field trips around Arlington to dive deeper into subjects of interest.
