Our Story
Just as we strive for in our classes, Ready, Set, Kids came together as a collaboration among great minds. In 2014, I began looking for a place to open a foreign language learning center for children. I had already opened two language centers for children, one in California and one in Colorado, before deciding to move back to my hometown of Boston after the birth of my first child. When I came upon this space in Arlington center I knew that not only would it be perfect for teaching language to children, it could offer so much more. With the closure of the popular retail and parenting educational store Isis Maternity, there was a need for baby & toddler programming in the area, so I began to look for other similar programs and like-minded business owners to partner with, and thus Ready, Set, Kids was born as a place for families to find classes of all kinds (and as my second “baby”).
The intention when I started Ready, Set, Kids was to be a resource for the community. My goal was to be a warm, nurturing space where families could bring their children to dive deeper into areas they were curious about, whether that was Spanish, science, music, fitness, or getting support as a new parent. In a very short time it became clear that we weren’t just a resource for the community, but we became our own community.
Over the years, we have offered many different programs including Mandarin language for kids, hip hop dance, piano, prenatal yoga, teen kickboxing and so much more. We work hard to meet the needs of the community. In fact, after just a few years, parents started asking us to provide transportation from the local elementary schools because they wanted their children in our classes, but couldn’t drive their kids to class during their workdays. Thus our Afterschool Program began. Similarly, parents told us that they’d love to have longer Spanish enrichment classes. So we began our 4 hour preschool classes. We are committed to doing our best all the time, and it shows in our classes, our space, and our relationships. I now have 3 children of my own, who are all students here and have made so many friends in their classes and all love being a part of this community.
We hope you love it here. We hope your child (and you!) make lifelong friends from here. We hope your child’s love of learning is fostered here. We promise to do our best to help grow great world citizens.

Teachers are at our Heart
My son loves going to his "Spanish School!" The staff and teachers are so friendly and outgoing! It is amazing how quickly he is learning to speak Spanish and how much fun he is having while doing so. If you haven't checked it out before I highly recommend it!!.
